Milford Ward Plans Huge Birthday Fete

Plans for the Milford Ward birthday celebration proceed nicely with all ward organizations taking part. The event starts at 6 30 p m next Wednesday January 11th marking the ward's founding on January 11 1904. A cafeteria style supper runs 6 30 to 8 p m and the Bishop's Birthday Cake is sold by the piece. Various booths are directed by church groups and an entertainment program is featured followed by a Dick Jones directed dance.

Harrell Gillins to Fill LDS Western States Mission

Harrell Gillins, son of Mr and Mrs Jule Gillins of Minersville, will leave for Salt Lake City late this week to prepare for a Western States Mission. A farewell party was held in his honor at the Minersville LDS Ward Chapel with songs tributes talks by family and church leaders and a dancing reception.
