Mr and Mrs Walter Cook and Mrs Cooks mother visited Salt Lake City Monday. Mr Cook sought medical attention. Little Alice and Ethel Cook visit with aunt Mrs Roy Cottrell as parents remain away. Mrs William Baker hosted her quilting club last Thursday afternoon.
The Navy urges civilians to buy War Bonds to finance binoculars used for navigation and scouting. Each set costs 50 to 80 dollars, with loans available to the Army or Navy. Ten percent of War Bond income funds the equipment enabling scouts and pilots to spot enemy ships.

Mrs. W F Cottrell reports from Reverend Homer Root of Durango Colorado the death of Mrs Root’s mother on December 9 following an automobile collision with a train. Root served as local Methodist church usher from 1926 to 1980, a memory held by many who recalled visitors and their parents.
