The ceremony included a high school male quartet and a violin solo by Riese Griffiths. Thompson born July 28 1857 in Greenville leaves a large family and devoted wife Josephine Dalley. Surviving are his wife and children Leona Holbrook Opal Walker Marjorie Schramm Hikia King Frank Thompson Myrtle Bentley Alma Richard Roy and many relatives.
Citizens from Burbank and Garrison welcome five miles of newly graded and graveled road near Burbank gap. The project, ordered by the state highway commission and overseen by J Douglas Ryan, eases winter travel after floods last summer. Daisy Rowley notes the work greatly aids the Milford Ely route.

Miss Carolyn Clay 12 daughter of Mr and Mrs L G Clay will perform in a piano recital Monday evening December 14 at eight o clock in the high school auditorium. Her brother John Clay trombone soloist and Miss Dora May Angell with Miss Marie White as dancers will assist under Miss Josephine White. Admission by card free to music lovers. cards available from Mrs Smith Miss Clay or Corner Drug Store. Children under ten must be accompanied by adults.
The state road commission announced moves for southern Utah engineers. William Osborne based in Cedar City will transfer to the Richfield district. Douglas Larson moves from Richfield to Price, and A Gillies, from Price, joins this district with Cedar City as headquarters.
Mrs P B Pishey and Mrs Ivan McKnight hosted the Social Club on Thursday December 3 with members including Mrs Griffith, Mrs Smith, Mrs Bower, Mrs Baker, and others. The gathering featured sewing and refreshments as Morgan Griffiths travels to Salt Lake City on business. The Community club met Sunday night with seven members, enjoying card games as Mr and Mrs James Rolling left Monday for Stockton and Ogden.
