Milford First County Fair Opens With Horse Races and Homecoming
The Milford fair grounds host a three day event starting September 6 with a grand homecoming on the 6th featuring a 1000 pound beef barbecue and dances. Seven states send horses for twenty four races including a Milford handicap over one mile and 70 yards with purses totaling 1515.00. Treasure Island Follies perform nightly with open air shows and a large gymnasium dance at Milford High. The opening parade and public display occur September 7, as the fair continues through September 9.
