Beautiful rites mark funeral of Doctor Hunter
The Milford community gathered at the high school auditorium Sunday for the funeral of Dr H C Hunter who served twenty one years in Milford. Masonic rites were led by Albert Pike Lodge and pallbearers included six lodge brothers. Interment was at Milford cemetery with honors from the Masonic lodge and Red Cross tribute readings from local officials.

Parson Boy Hurt in Parade Horse Incident
James Patterson, about 19, was thrown when his horse slipped at the parade’s end. He suffered a severe concussion after entering between bar supports and cement. He received care from Dr. Parrish and Dr. Bybee, stayed with Harry Forgie, and later returned home to South Milford to recover.

Fish Year Around Open At Rocky Pot Reservoir
Deputy Fish and Game official Cy Davis says fishing is now permitted year round at Rocky Pot reservoir near Beaver. The water hosts carp, suckers, catfish and bass and is cooled by winter melt. Walter James who directs the James Oil well reports strong signs at the drilling site. A Milford sample of produced liquid allegedly contained a good percent of crude oil and looked and smelled like petroleum.
