Horn Silver Ore Brings $130 Car
News of a rich strike at the Horn Silver mine west of Mulford spread statewide over the weekend. Ore from a 12 to 14 inch face yielded about an ounce of gold, 32 ounces of silver and 36 percent lead, with a carload shipment valued at $1.70 gold per ounce and 57 1/2 ounces silver per ton.

Games occur Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays. recent results saw the Outlaws defeat the Fire Department and Faculty defeat the Business Men while the High School beat the Railroaders. The Business Men defeated the High School 18 6 on Monday and a Railroaders versus Outlaws match is slated for Friday. A Wednesday Faculty Fire Department game was postponed Saturday due to typhoid related sore arms in the Faculty.
