Doctor H C Hunter Dies After Illness in Milford
Doctor Henry C. Hunter died after weeks of illness at Santa Fe hospital in Los Angeles. Born 1868 near Sioux City, he practiced medicine in Milford for 21 years and served as Union Pacific examiner, Red Cross president, and Milford Civic leader. Funeral plans were set by Milford Masonic lodge with services at the Methodist church.

Nine Milford groups met with the Lions club to organize a town clean-up effort. Representatives from the Milford Fire Department Veterans of Foreign Wars Union Pacific Athletic Club Methodist Church Masonic Lodge Milford Public Schools American Legion Boy Scouts and Lions members pledged support and assigned cleanup locations. A five-group committee will direct activities with Town Board backing. work starts Monday and aims to finish by the 27th with inspections next Wednesday.

Death Comes To Mrs Anna Glenn
Mrs Anna Glenn mother of Jaime Glenn of Milford died in Bell California on April 15 after a paralytic stroke. Funeral rites were at the Milford home with interment in Milford cemetery. Born September 12 1847 in County Downe Ireland she was 82 years 7 months old. She came in 1901 and was a familiar Beaver county figure. Survived by a son two grandsons and a nephew.

49er Celebration Parade and Prizes At Milford
American Legion plans a 49er celebration with a parade at three o'clock followed by a music program at Milford Hotel Hubball corner. The Auxiliary offers ten dollar prize for best float or stunt and five dollars for best individual makeup, with winners announced next week.
