Milford area report details George Willett flying a Bowing Stearman to apply commercial fertilizer over about ten acres for the Boston Land Company. The pilot uses night operations with powerful searchlights and a 450 horsepower engine to blanket the fields, aided by a ground crew and a ramp setup for loading and unloading.

Mra Sela Hutchings was named president of the Milford Parent-Teacher Association for 1948 49 at a Milford High School gathering. Vernon Cummings was elected second vice president and Keith Hollingshead became secretary treasurer. The first vice president will be chosen at the fall meeting after new faculty are designated. The meeting featured a program with selections and a talk by Mr Carder that was well received.
Mil to Pool receives a 25 year jewel from Milford Odd Fellows as Roy Cuttrett presents the honor at a regular meeting. Other members recognized include Col tin Teddy Krookalm Sne Tribely Sam Clingaint A Zabriskie.
MINERSVILLE Relief Society supper and bazaar raised 384 dollars. Proceeds from the M-Men and Gleaner Girls banquet added to support the Church Building Fund. Effie Marshall thanks donors and volunteers for the success.

Merrell Edwards and Jack Westendry celebrate a new daughter born March 29 at Cedar City Hospital. The newborn weighs 7 pounds 10 ounces.
