Navy Cross Posthumously Awarded to Cpl E F Kelly
Cpl Edward F Kelly posthumously receives the Navy Cross for extraordinary heroism on Guam July 25 26 1944 with the 21st Marines 3rd Marine Division. He directed fire despite wounds until mortally wounded after destroying 15 enemies and halting the attack. Mrs Andrew Kelly receives the citation and a letter from Maj Gen D Peck.

Musical Notes in Summer Orchestra Practice Tale
Ten little musicians attended orchestra practice while 14 stayed home. The group enjoyed themselves but tried Echoes from Germany, a new number recalling pre Hitler Germany.
