Appalachian Regional Hospitals reach nine hospitals
ARH celebrates its sixth year as a nine hospital system serving 900000 people across Kentucky West Virginia and adjacent areas. From five startups in 1963 ARH expanded with federal support and local funding to provide community health centers emergency care extended care nursing homes doctors offices home care and rehabilitation programs. The system grew amid shortages of beds and doctors, guiding the region toward improved humanitarian health access.

Make One Arrest in City Raid at Sportland Park
A Saturday raid by Middlesboro police at Sportland Park led to confiscation of whiskey beer playing cards and tip boards and the arrest of a Lothbury Agenut man. An early Sunday morning crash at KY 74 and KY 4db caused injuries and damage.
