The regular meeting of One Woman's Club is postponed from Monday May 24 to Wednesday June 1. The Gandwill Tower for Le Meu will be held at the Hotel Cumberland tonight at 7:00 p.m. The club cooperates with the Chamber of Commerce to sponsor the dinner and hopes all members will attend.
A jumble of names and events from Middlesboro includes Mrs J Puloy Noel Bias visiting local shops with friends, Mrs Virgeh Kelly at Tawell’s Valley, and Miss Davis teaching in town. Several figures attend meetings in Cleveland and Norton trips noted, along with social visits to relatives and shop outings.
Wade Gibson 13, organizer for the Harare movement, is named secretary at the Tower Union in Kentucky. The appointment follows his work promoting religious education and Sunday school programs in Middleshore communities and church outreach in nearby regions.
In the memory contest at Junation the fourth stage saw Jean Weinstein from Mixes Jereington, Evelyn Muora, and Goalee Nyrey win first prizes. Stubblefield's room and Glen William’s group earned recognition as top participants. Other sections awarded monetary prizes ranging from 2.50 to 5 dollars, with several students named for notable performances.
Anidyea for the fourth, fifth and sixth grades were Mrs Worothy Har row, Mrs W Wy timpbell and Miss Margaret Gunn. Judges included Mrs Mixg la Moore, Miss Mary Parker Roberts and Mrs Gibbers. Prizes were awarded by the Kiwanis Club and Woman's Club, with music and ukulele by Gibson Brothers.
