Middlesboro city council announced sealed bids for reconstruction of Cumberland Avenue section and construction of adjacent streets at abutting owner cost. Projects include Croberland from Twenty seventh to Petershire, Gloucester from Twenty fourth to Twenty seventh, Twenty fourth from Cumberland to Dorchester, Ashbury to Wilderness road, Fitzpatrick to Lynwood, and Twenty fourth from Dorchester to Manchester. An ordinance to create forty foot streets parallel to Cumberland was passed, curb work required, spitting ban on public walks adopted, and a residents petition for Twenty fourth street Exeter avenue referred. Two Men Hurt at Junction Sunday
