Railsplitters Clinch VSAC Division With 14-7 Victory

Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters routed Milligan 14 to 7 to clinch the Eastern Division title in the Volunteer State Athletic Conference. Ron Cronan led LMU with a triple, a double and two singles in five at bats, as LMU assembled 16 hits. Fulchler started on the mound for the win, while teammates Vaughn, Fulchler, Phagan, White and Fallon collected two hits each. Middlesboro Men Witness Prestonsburg Flood Evacuations

Local men Carl Partin and Serbert Contany arrived in Prestonsburg amid widespread flooding last week. Watchdog Body Sought Under Foreign Aid Plan

Washington D C March 10 AP The acting chairman Thomas E B Morgan of the foreign affairs committee said a watchdog subcommittee may be created later this spring after the foreign aid bill clears. The panel faces a bid to slash military aid by about 30 percent of the 3.6 billion dollar program amid House debate and amendments. House leaders meanwhile cut the administration goal already to 339 million dollars in military aid with further proposed cuts and strict accounting for counterpart funds used by members overseas.

WMIK Plans Rink Dance for National Radio Month
