Patterson Lorton title bout set for Indianapolis Coliseum

Floyd Patterson of Rockville Centre, N.Y., defends his world heavyweight title against Brian Lorton of Blackpool, England in a 13 round bout at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds Coliseum tonight. Expected crowd 9,000, purses total about $130,000 with Patterson earning $175.40 plus $75,000 net gate share and 60,000 pounds guarantee to London. Bank Robber Admits Second Louisville Heist

UPI reports Ray Tarey an unemployed helper confessed to staging his second Louisville bank robbery since March 17 after arrest by FBI Thursday following a $1,473 hold up. Harley, arrested at home, faced charges for robbing the Okolona Rohal Branch and the Citizens Fidelity Bank on March 17. An FBI agent traced a car matching the robbery description, leading to Harley’s arrest and seizure of a .32 caliber pistol and bag of loot. A teller said the robber warned him to fill a bag with cash.
