The Daily News invites children up to 12 to submit their Bugs Bunny Easter coloring sketches. Prize money ranges from first to fourth place plus Mooring Theatre tickets. all entries must include name age and address and be delivered to the contest editor.
Contest rules invite all children up to 42, excluding newspaper employees, to color three Boys Bunny sketches Wilts erayana or paints, print name and address on each, and mail or bring them in by March 29. Judging on coloring and neatness. winners announced April 5.
United Press reports a quiet weekend on Kentucky roads despite NCAA and state tournament crowds. State police confirm two fatalities, William Sherrill 38 and Ari Kilibrew 2 of Hopkinsville, in a collision with a truck on U S 41 seven miles north. One additional person, Betty Kilibrew, was injured.

Mr and Mrs Sam Meridith of VPage announce the marriage of their daughter Daclene to Mr Wood Bush son of Mr and Mrs Woodward Bush of Md diesboro. They wed Friday March 44 in Suedville Tennessee. Attending were Mr and Mrs Jesse Killion and Mr Donald Clouse of Middlesboro. The bride a senior at BellDownly High School is employed at Ely's Transfer Contiunig in Afiddiesboro. They reside at 18 North 7th Street Middlesboro.

Washington surgeons general warn that serious polio outbreaks could occur if vaccination is not accelerated. Burney cites estimates that tens of millions under 40 have not had any shots and that many under 20 have had no doses. He notes polio runs in cycles and recent cases fell, but epidemic years can return. Public Health Service data show about 6,000 polio cases, 2,100 paralytic, with 1956 figures 35,200 total and 6,600 paralytic. If attack rates rise to 1952 levels, as many as 30,000 cases could occur among the unvaccinated, Burney says.
