Champion Wilson 86 dies in Kentucky March 21 1964

Champion Wilson of Cubage Kentucky died at LaGrange Kentucky on March 21 1964 at 2 48 p m. He born March 24 1897 in Oaks Kentucky to Stella Jackson Wilson and the late Joe Wilson. He married Mealis Wise gon on April 1 1924. He worked 25 years for Southern Mining Company at Balkan Kentucky and five years for the Pontiac Division of General Motors. He lived in Bell County most of his life and was a member of the Oakdale Mission.

Middlesboro to Host 119 Association Meeting

Middlesboro Ky selected as site for the U S 119 Association meeting on June 1 after a weekend gathering. About 3 attendees from 10 area communities heard Dr Paul Clark outline two aims: complete reconstruction and promote use of the road. The group seeks access routes near Jellico Tennessee and U S 23, plus a five point program including a publicity committee route maps brochures and listings of parks and attractions.
