In St Joseph Michigan on March 20 the court heard that the communists' program and constitution could be admitted as evidence in the William Forster criminal syndicalism trial. The document argues the proletariat destroys state machinery and installs a Soviet based dictatorship as a long process toward a communist society through armed insurrection.
The police case against Southern for breach of peace was dismissed after he had already been fined $14.25 following a prior charge. Herman Manning, injured after accusing Southern of taking his girl’s car ride, acted as the complaining witness. No indictment for assault and battery was returned. Manning faces an indictment for interfering with school attendance and is out on bail.
Work to clean and overhaul the V I C furnace has begun with a small crew. Within five to six weeks the plant should be ready for operations. Roofs and sheds will be erected, payrolls in the thousands will boost the town, and many workers are expected to be city residents. The iron and steel market rise supports a permanent reopening.

Commonwealth's attorney Joseph Lawton opened the criminal case in Louisville court accusing Clifford Blakerby of fatally shooting Dr. Charles Heaverin, a dentist, in his office on December 18. The defense signals an unwritten law defense.

Sheriff Martin Green took Smith Frost Ike Epps Sam Wast ridge and John Bussel to the state reformatory at Frankfort. Frost and Epps were convicted of grand larceny and robbery in separate trials at the recent criminal court session. East ridge and Bussel were convicted of murder with Bussel's case awaiting review in the Frankfort court of appeals.
Deputy Sheriff T. C. McDaniel of Clay County raided moonshiners and kept liquor as evidence. While returning, he gave a drink to a friend with a bad cold, violating liquor laws. The Court of Appeals upheld his conviction for unlawfully giving away liquor.
Attorney General Charles I. Dawson will formally announce his bid for the Republican nomination for governor at a Saturday night banquet in Middlesboro. The event at the Hotel Cumberland draws hundreds of state Republicans with Judge F. D. Sampson and other officials among the speakers. Reservations must be sent to John Miller by Thursday afternoon.

Police trace a Cincinnati business figure known as Frank Berg to the 1921 St Louis bank holdup. Eugene Remy is alleged to have aided the Sep 1921 robbery, netting 314,000. A Bertillon expert linked a facial scar to the St Louis bandit. Remy allegedly confessed after arrest.
Dr. John Langdon, longtime pastor of the Broadway Methodist Church in Paducah, died today at a hospital in Baoxi Mississippi from anemia.
The Rev Rutherford E Douglas of Macon Georgia will arrive on No 23 tonight but without his wife due to illness. He will not attend the Kiwanis Club luncheon tomorrow he will speak at the Presbyterian church prayer meeting tomorrow night He is considering a call to pastor the local Presbyterian church extended several weeks ago.
