Tri Staters In Service Cadets In ROTC Training

Cadet Harry M. Love begins six week ROTC training at Indian Town Gap Pa on June 18 while his wife Emily resides in Middlesboro. PFC Aubrey G. Pruette, son of Mr and Mrs Shirley C Pruette of Middlesboro, participates in a two week field exercise with the Seventh U.S. Army in Germany testing communications operations. Billy C. Rains, son of Mr and Mrs William M. Rains of Middlesboro, is set to represent the 3rd Infantry Division in the Army Prix LeClerc Marksman matches in Grafenwoehr Germany May 26 to 28 as a machine gunner in the 3rd Division's 1st Battalion. Staff Sergeant William E. Turnbough of Pennington Gap Va has arrived for duty at Homestead AFH Fla with a SAC unit after a Canada tour and is married to Susette Ragsdale. Billy J. Moore of New Tazewell Tenn has been promoted to master sergeant in the U S Air Force at Patrick AFB Fla.

Army PFC Jack J. Prince, 24, son of Mr and Mrs John H Prince of Barbourville, took part in a field training exercise with the 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment in Germany from May 17 to 27. He is a Knox Central High School graduate, class of 1966. James Henry Jeffries II, native of Pineville, has been promoted to captain in the U S Marine Corps Reserve and will proceed to summer training at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. A University of Kentucky College of Law graduate, Jeffries is an attorney in Washington, D C.
