Mrs Lottie Moore of Pineville Kentucky died at home January 26 after long illness. Born November 11 1873 in Clay County she leaves four daughters two sons a sister ten grandchildren five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Funeral January 29 at Arnett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Edward Goins. Burial Wallsend Cemetery. Tommy Lakins 48 of Rose Hill Virginia died January 21 at Middlesboro Hospital. Survived by wife sons and daughters and several siblings. Funeral at Rose Hill Baptist Church with burial in family cemetery. Davidson Funeral Home in Rose Hill in charge.

Mrs Barshe Evans age 85 wife of the late Tip Evans died Sunday at her Speedwell Tennessee home. Survived by daughters Brilla Tweece Hester Wells Cardia Maiden Myrtle Vasko and Cecil Wylie and sons J T Earnest and Sherman all of Speedwell. Funeral Tuesday at 2 pm Red Hill Baptist Church burial in Red Hill Cemetery. Reece Funeral Home in charge. Funeral services for Mrs Fannie C Brummell of Daytona Beach Florida died January 20 held January 23 at First Baptist Church Rev Truett Miller officiated burial Middlesboro Cemetery Shumate Funeral Home in charge.

Kentuckian of the Year named by Kentucky Press Association

Garvice Kincaid of Lexington was named Kentuckian of the Year at the KPA mid winter meeting. The award was presented by William Caywood of the Clayily Times at the final session Saturday. UT Extension Course Registration Ends January Twenty Six

Harrogate Tennessee teachers must register by January 26 for the University of Tennessee extension course at Lincoln Plemaria University. The class meets in Room 207 every Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm. The course, Direction and Supervision of Student Teaching, is taught by the UT director of student teachers.
