A Middlesboro woman aged 102 died in Alabama where she had fled during the Civil War era. Funeral services for Mrs. George W. Bennett, who lived with her son Warren in the Fort Lake area, are incomplete pending relatives. Born near Junction, Ala. on Feb 2, 1864, she married in the 1880s and lived with her son for about 30 years. Survivors include sons Henry Bennett of Bronte, Ala. and Willie Bennett of Detroit. Baker Funeral Home in charge.
