Lack of City License Brings Fine in Police Court
Police court Saturday fined Tommy Hughett 39 of North 19th Street 59 dollars for no city business license. Lee Cody 13th Street faced a dismissed charge of flourishing a deadly weapon. Johnny Dunn 26 of Cawood fined 19 dollars for truck route violation. Arthur Wilson 27 of Noetown fined 19 for public drunkenness. Ophelia Turner 31 Route 3 had no operator's license charge continued to January 18. A pedestrian injured in a one car crash as Jimmie Moorg 4 of West End Homes was struck by a 1974 Toyota driven by Vickie Mounce Davidson 22 of Statesville NC. Witnesses say Moorg walked into the path. car skidded 80 feet. Moorg treated and released at ARH for left leg injuries. Two other property damage accidents reported. A 1974 Camaro driven by Debra Carroll 17 Cirencester struck a 1971 Chevrolet driven by Kathy Fuson 18 Bellwood Road. Fuson stopped to turn left. A 1970 Ford driven by Walter Elliott Dorchester Avenue struck a parked 1968 Plymouth owned by Raymond Jones Ewing. Tim Riggs of 710 Leicester Avenue reported his 27 inch silver AMF ten speed bike stolen from Frogs 7 11 over weekend. Mrs Comiel DeVos of Monroe Michigan reported two runaway girls, Donna Lynn Gooch 15 and Loreine GeVos 15, both of Monroe Michigan.
