Murder Charged After Pineville Shooting in Bell County
Zara Snellings of Black Snake in Harlan County is jailed in Bell County on murder charges after a Saturday shooting on Left Fork of Straight Creek at about 5 p.m. Joe Williams, 35, of Hulton, died at Pineville Community Hospital at 5:48 p.m. from a bullet wound near the heart. Williams to be buried Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Durham Funeral Home services.

Police Recover Money Juvenile Charged In $1,160 Robbery
Middlesboro police spent a busy New Year weekend with a $1,160 robbery a wreck and 19 arrests. A juvenile was charged and released on a $1,000 bond after allegedly stealing the money from Mrs. Don Finley. The money was recovered about two hours later by authorities. The youth’s name was not released. Other incidents included a stolen car that damaged a home, a confined police order for two weeks after an attack on a minor, a stolen mailbox, and two arrests for shootings in a house.
