Log Cabin Blend of Old and New in County Cabin
The Log Cabin blends traditional poplar logs from an 1825 Lonesome Valley structure with modern wiring plumbing and appliances. Built by Nevils with Arthur Dean as carpenter, it features a concrete chinking system air spaces for insulation and a roof of plywood styrofoam and Masonite panels. The logs were stored since 1975 and insect treatment was applied. beams from a dismantled Cyprus water tower provide exposed support.
