Deaths From Smoking Form An Epidemic
The American Cancer Society warned that cigarette related cancer deaths reached epidemic proportions in the United States. President Ashbel C. Williams cited 1967 as the year of the cigarette as children increasingly take up smoking at about 4,000 to 3.0 per hour, predicting that one million current students will become smokers.
