Sherry Ann Marcum aged 15 died August 3 1975 in an accidental drowning near Rose Hill Virginia. She attended Thomas Walker High School and belonged to Silver Leaf Baptist Church. Surviving are her parents Mr and Mrs Herbert Marcum of Rose Hill, a brother Arville Keith Marcum, sisters Kathy Marcum Glenna Marcum and Ruth Davis, grandmother Mrs Marty Daniels and grandfather Arville Marcum. Funeral at 2 p.m. August 5 1975 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Dee Owens officiating. Burial at Marcum Cemetery, Davidson Funeral Home in charge.

A man wearing a stocking and armed with a sawed off shotgun robbed a National Bank of Commerce branch in Memphis Monday after 3 p.m. taking about 26,000. Police report the method and weapon resembled a January 24 theft in which 14,880 was stolen. A suspected getaway car was found abandoned minutes later.
