Pineville 54 year old former officer Fins ley Hendrickson was found guilty and sentenced to ten years in prison by a Bell Chewit Court jury for the May 10 1970 killing of Robert North 60 of Tinsley and injuring North’s son James 24. The nine men and three women deliberated about 214 hours after a two day trial. Witnesses said the elder North became involved in a dispute over use of a truck at Sivemore's grocery near Turkey Creek where the shootings occurred. Defense attorney Grant Knuckles said an appeal is likely.
