Holman Knocks Out Elmer Ray In Miami Fight
John Holman of Chicago scored a dramatic knockout of Elmer Ray at Dorsey Park in the eighth round of a ten round main event. The upset drew 1,700 observers and marked Ray’s first loss at Dorsey Park and only the second KO of his career. A rematch is tentatively set for March 29 with Tommy O Loughlin arranging the terms. Holman boxed cleverly and delivered precise counter punches to dominate the bout.
