Captain Chester Eldredge of police homicide said a complete report on the death of 3 year old Reginald Allen has been sent to Nashville authorities where the boy’s father Jimmy Allen also known as Robert Allen faces murder charges after a second child died from strangulation. Allen’s 19 month old step daughter Janet died Sunday, and Reginald died in Miami on April 8 with a steel ball lodged in his throat, ruled accidental asphyxiation. Nashville district attorney J Carlton Loser said police are reopening an inquiry into a third child’s death, Jimmy a9, July 10 1952 in Nashville.

Man Falls Dead In Moonshine Raid In Miami
Hubert Grover aged 62 died of a heart attack Friday afternoon during a moonshine raid at his home. Deputies Joe Gorman and George McMillan, with state beverage department agent Tony Cianci, entered 1444 NW 2nd Ave. Grover was with friend Leonard Edden, 67, of 1241 NW First Court. The agent held no charges against Edden.

Fire destroys Opa Locka house on NW 154th Street
A Tuesday blaze at 1986 NW 154th St in Opa Locka destroyed a house owned by Ernest Kitchen after recent electrical repairs. Lt. L. J. LeBer said no one was home, eight prior occupants had left by Monday night, and no injuries were reported.

Homestead Slayer Gets 20 Years
John Lee King a 21 year old Homestead youth was sentenced to 20 years by Circuit Judge Robert Floyd after being found guilty of second degree murder in the slaying of Ernest Hamilton also 21. King was convicted of shooting Hamilton in a Homestead bar last Sept. 26.

Police Kill Man After Assaulting Woman in Florida Home
Police officers Jack McFadden and Harry Mawhenney shot and killed Williams after he attacked Mrs. T J Marx in her home. Officers said Williams choked the woman as she described the assault on the phone, then lunged through a glass jalousie and refused to halt, prompting gunfire that killed him. Williams, living at 414 NW 5th Ave, had been jailed previously in Ft Lauderdale on suspicion of rape, but the case was dropped.
