The U S Supreme Court vacated a Virginia ruling on an interracial marriage case involving Ham Say Naim and Ruby Elaine Naim. The Portsmouth Court had 1952 marriage of a Chinese seaman and a White woman invalidated. The Virginia Supreme Court found the Portsmouth record adequate for decision.
