Two Men Charged with First Degree Murder

Warrants issued by Peace Justice T Ferguson for Elijah Williams 32 of 1012 NW First Ave and Abraham Utley 59 of 422% NW Lith St charging them with fatal shootings. Elijah Williams allegedly killed Samuel Williams 37 at Blount's Bar 142 NW 11th St on July 27 and Utley allegedly killed John Williams 34 during an argument at Utley's home on July 22. Both are held in county jail without bond.

Fatal dispute ends in double slaying in Atlanta

Fulton county police said John Smith, 26, admitted killing a White truck driver and his woman companion during a wage dispute. The bodies, partially clad and covered with a quilt, were found after passersby smelled the stench.

Tourists Court Permit Refused by County Board

County commissioners refused on Tuesday to permit construction of a motor court for Negro tourists at NW 2nd Ave and 48th Ter. Proposed owners Charles Cherry and Benjamin Flink are White. They upheld the zoning board in rejecting an appeal by attorney William Pruitt for a zoning variance. The board gave no reason for denial. Commissioner I D MacVivar moved to sustain the board, saying the board must have had a reason.

Britain ordered tribal chief Seretse Khama Ruth Williams his baby daughter to leave the Bechuanaland territory at an early date. A Commonwealth Relations Office communique said exile location was undecided, with London mentioned as a possible destination. White Sailors Beat And Rob Patrolman

Ernest Washington, 27, of 2355 Northwest 166th Street in Opa Locka, was found in his car at 127th Street and 27th Avenue early Saturday robbed and beaten. He told county road patrolmen three unidentified sailors flagged him down and then attacked him. He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
