Discrimination Damages To Non-unionist Dale Richardson Verdict
Federal jury in Omaha awarded Dale Richardson 342000 for discrimination after he left the Communications Workers of America. The award included 250000 for mental anguish against the union and 92000 split 70 30 between union and employer for lost wages and seniority. Kansas City AP The Jackson County Circuit Court barred Independence Dodge Inc from continuing practices alleged under the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act Judge Richard C Jensen ruled after state officials charged frauds including falsely selling cars as new or demonstrator models and altering mileage meters The attorney general John C Danforth said the action warns dealers against cheating the public by odometer tampering and concealing vehicle histories The state sued last year firm president Harry Schillereff declined comment pending counsel’s guidance Danforth pledged further suits against violators.
