State Senate Candidates Can File Now
Missouri Secretary of State James C. Kirkpatrick resumes accepting state senate declarations after a court ruling cleared the district map. Former Democratic state Rep. Henry Ross filed for the 11th District minutes after filings reopened, while Jasper Brancato, hospitalized, remains the incumbent. The Supreme Court had earlier upheld the plan as generally constitutional, ending the injunction that blocked filings. The case, brought by the Preisler heirs, returned to Judge Kinder for disposition.
