Miss Linda Sue Wyatt of Thompson and Bill Douglas Harris of Nevada were married August 16 at the First Christian Church in Mexico. The double ring ceremony was conducted by Rev. G. A. Hamlen. The couple plan a wedding trip to New Orleans and San Antonio before settling in Kirksville.

Pre-School Mothers Change Name To Interested Women
The Mexico Pre-School Mothers club met September 16 at Trinity United Church of Christ to install new officers in a candlelight service. Past president Mrs. Dale Groves installed Mrs. Larry Weber as president and other officers. The club voted to rename itself the Interested Young Women's Club. Visitors included Mrs. Pauline Nichols, Mrs. Joyce Lowry, and Mrs. Linda Noble, with Lowry and Noble becoming members.

Scout Troop 38 Wins Camporee Patroles At Vandalia
Scout Troop 38 sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Mexico attended the District Camporee at Vandalia September 12 14 with two patrols. Stag Patrol led by Dick Bowen Jim Oliver Luke Lukacs and others won first place, Cobra Patrol led by Mark Niederschulte placed third among about 30 patrols. Troop 38 meets Tuesdays at 7 pm at the church and invites interested boys to join.
