Farber Club celebrates 40th anniversary in Bicentennial year
Farber Study Club MFWC observed its 40th anniversary with guest speaker Mrs. William W. Bradley of Centralia, second vice president of the Missouri Federated Womens Club. The meeting featured a history of the club from its 1936 start as a junior group, its 1938 shift to a senior club, and the involvement of 19 presidents. Guests included Cosmos Club Vandalia and Farber La Far Byettes, with refreshments by club members. Plans announced for October district convention in Bowling Green and future hosting duties for Farber Senior Citizens, plus UNICEF drives and a Girls Town project. Contributions and park board discussions were noted.
