Mexico Rock Bridge Play Scoreless In Mistake Filled Tie

Mexico and Rock Bridge battled to a 0-0 tie at Hawthorne Heights as both sides squandered scoring chances. Mexico's Regan Fuhrer fumbled near the 9 yard line, a blocked field goal steadied by Bill Fountain, and turnovers at key moments kept the game scoreless despite strong defensive efforts from both teams led by Rock Bridge coach John Henage and Mexico coach Jim Valentik. The tie followed three straight non league games, with Mexico set to open Mid State Conference play at Waynesville next Friday night.
