Mrs Brown's Orange Bread Makes A Detailed Homemade Recipe
Mrs Brown is such a good cook that she provides thorough directions for her orange bread. The recipe calls for sifted flour baking powder salt creamed oleo and sugar eggs orange juice orange rind candied peel and orange peel last. The batter is baked in loaf pans at 300 degrees for about an hour and cooled on a rack. The note adds that slow cooking of the candied peel prevents toughness and that bread freezes well.
