Teasdale Choice Snubbed At State Committee Meeting
In Jefferson City Missouri on 24 April Democratic gubernatorial candidate Joe Teasdale’s pick for state party chairman was rejected. The Missouri Democratic State Committee re-elected John McIlroy of Bowling Green as chairman because Brendan Ryan from St. Louis could not qualify. Ryan’s ineligibility stemmed from not being elected as a committee member from the 1st Congressional District. State Senator Franklin Payne indicated no resignation move from the first district would occur.
