Man Charged In Assault On Son-in-law
In Centralia Edward E. Beeman 45 struck his son-in-law Vincent Ferrell Sr. 24 with a car jack during a long family quarrel. Ferrell was treated at Dr. Leopold LaChance’s office then Audrain Medical Center and Boone County Hospital. his condition stabilized from serious to critical. Beeman was arrested on a city charge and later charged with felonious assault, held in Boone County Jail awaiting arraignment.

Washington AP reports a federal indictment charges five men including former Penn Central officers Bevan and Gerstnecker with conspiring to misapply 4.2 million of a 10 million German loan.
