Girls may ask their chosen partner, and the event features apple cider, candied apples, and a 25 cent Bull Dog Patch Marriage Certificate. Dress code emphasizes Bull Dog Patch attire. free yearbooks for best dressed. Assembly on November 9 promotes Mascot sales and dance.
Key Club marks Frankie’s birthday on November 13 with a Frankenstein Birthday Party featuring two horror films The Horror of Dracula and The Phantom of the Rue Morgue shown from 7 to 9 p.m. in the MHS auditorium. Admission is 75 cents, with popcorn and cokes sold. A dance at the Armory runs 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Magna Crunch from St. Louis provides music. tickets are $3 per couple, on sale during lunch starting November 15 or at the door.
Mexico High announces a Career Counseling Program starting in December. Three counselors will coordinate one on one meetings between students and professionals in fields of interest. Students fill a questionnaire, then meet a career counselor to learn about duties, advantages, and required courses. If not interested, they may pursue another vocation. Seniors still have time to explore the World of Work, especially underclassmen.
