Audrain County Historical Society received Mt. Olivet Cemetery history from Mrs. Juliet Hulen. The Mt. Olivet United Presbyterian Church began in a log schoolhouse near Barneyville, with a 1845 constitution under Salt River Presbytery and a 1870 church building on donated ground. The 1907 structure replaced the old one, a 1945 centennial was held, and 1970 marked its 125th anniversary. The history notes land deeds, church growth, missions, and local gifts, including Elmwood Cemetery survey support.
