James Loyd Recovering From Car Crash Injuries

Loyd, 18, son of Mr and Mrs Lester Loyd of 206 Central St, is recovering rapidly after surgery at University Medical Center for spleen removal, a punctured lung and abdominal injuries suffered Oct 13 in a two vehicle crash at Highway 124 and Route FF south of Centralia. Five Mexicains were injured in the collision involving Pamela Sue Newsom, 20, with passengers Karen Lunsford, 17, Frank Parker, 22, and David L. Rivers, 18. Newsom faces a summons for being on the wrong side of the road. Russell L. Walker, 20, of Centralia, was ticketed for no driver's license.
