Denim becomes global fashion symbol in 1970s trend
The Denim Art exhibit at the American Crafts Council Museum of Contemporary Crafts showcases over 50 garments decorated with rhinestones embroidery and found objects. Levi Strauss and Company sponsored the contest, highlighting jeans jackets and other denim items as expressive fashion and social statements.
