Boston High School Attendance Dips After Court-Ordered Desegregation
In Boston, attendance at tense high schools fell during the fourth week of desegregation busing. A School Department spokesman said attendance in the high schools is down, with English High reporting about 400 pupils present of roughly 2,500 enrolled.
