Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle members honored Hazel Blattner for 50 years of service at the first fall meeting of 1971. A yearbook dedication praised her intellect and strength while the group reviewed John King Fairbank and Pearl S Buck China writings. An honorary member donated a Chautauqua volume as members enjoyed Chinese refreshments. next meeting set for Oct 12 with Mrs. G Andy Runge.

Mr and Mrs T L Witten of 1116 N Olive St were honored Sunday at an open house for their 25th wedding anniversary. The Wittens were married Oct 4 1946 in Mexico. Guests included two children Terry Witten and Mrs John W McDonald, two grandchildren Michael Wayne McDonald and Tonya Renee McDonald, and about 75 friends and relatives.

PEO Chapter Meets With Mrs Doolittle At Home
