Donley Morris Family Receives Farm Award
The Donley Morris family of Vandalia will receive the Ralls County Farm Management award from the Intermediate Credit Bank and National Stockyards Co. of St Louis, with University Extension support. Their operation has grown from 561 to 702 acres, including a 110 acre purchase, producing 227 acres of corn and 319 acres of soybeans in 1972, with rising hog numbers and improved grain handling and livestock feeding systems. The family remains active in church and 4-H, with Mr Morris as former BPM club president and Mrs Morris serving as MFA delegate and bank employee.
