Forty Children Start Head Start Year At Center
Two classes with 40 children began this year at Head Start in the fall. The first weeks focused on adjustment and acquainting, with a community helpers theme including firemen postmen bricklayers teachers and more. Visits to fire department post office library and construction sites occurred while police officers fielded questions.

PTA Holds Introductory Drug Education Session at Hardin Junior High
Sgt D J Slevin of the State Highway Patrol led the program on Drug Abuse for seventh and eighth grade science classes at Presser Hall. George Stahl introduced him as William Fitzpatrick presided and Leroy Werner gave the devotion. The annual budget was presented and a social hour followed in the school cafeteria chaired by Mrs Bill Rentschler. An executive board meeting with 11 members occurred earlier. The next PTA meeting is scheduled for February 26.
