AUXVASSE The Happy Homemakers Extension Club met Wednesday night. The About Convention Chapter HD of PEO met Tuesday evening with Mrs. Florence L. Barlow. Eighteen members attended. Mrs. H. L. Neifert reported on the PEO supreme convention held in October in New Orleans. Methodist Women Plan Dinner Bazaar AUXVASSE The United Methodist Women of Auxvasse Methodist Church met Monday night to finalize plans for the annual bazaar and chicken pie dinner at Auxvasse Community Hall on Saturday November 17. The program was by Mrs. Flo Smith cosmetics consultant. Gift exchange set for Cecil's Restaurant in Fulton on Dec 5. Mrs. Dick Coll and Mrs. Gordon Nolte named to telephone committee. Montgomery City MFWC Anniversary Celebrated With Meetings
Montgomery City MFWC observed its 25th anniversary during a Monday meeting at Mrs. Helen Henderson's home. Silver decor and a silver door prize highlighted the event. The club, organized Oct. 12, 1948, counted five charter members active today and heard education program notes from Addison Weber and Mr. Inman. Members planned dues by Nov. 15, signed up for Bloodmobile refreshments, and discussed attendance at upcoming diabetic detection drives.

Community Riders Hold November Meeting at Gerwin Farm
Twenty seven members answered roll call at the Community Riders Saddle Club hayride chili supper and November meeting at the Emil Gerwin farm. Visitors Ruth Miller Nadine Dry and Kelley Kidd attended. The group voted to donate 25 to Rush Hill Community Center and named Harold Maxwell Henry Schoneboom and Mrs Dennis Wagoner to a nominating committee for the next officer slate. The meeting adjourned with a December 12 carry-in dinner at the Rush Hill Community Center scheduled for 6 30 p.m.

The Junior Girls Unit of the VFW met at the Post Home with president Deanna Rehma in charge. Twelve members attended and reported making 44 tray favors for the Veterans Hospital in Columbia.
