Jaworski to resign boards and sell Coastal States stake
Houston AP Leon Jaworski, new Watergate prosecutor and Coastal States director, says he will resign from all boards including Bank of the Southwest, Anderson Clayton, Gulf Publishing, and Village National Bank. He also will sell his 200 Coastal States Gas Corp shares amid an SEC suit over gas delivery shortfalls. The antitrust action, filed in New York, targets Texaco and Coastal States Gas Producing Co., alleging a contract allowing Texaco to buy from Coastal’s Corpus Christi refinery reduced competition.
