Area couple wed at Farber in fall ceremony
Miss Rebekah Karen Colbert daughter of Mr. and Mrs Marlon W Colbert Middletown became the bride of Lonnie G Selby son of Mr. and Mrs Glen Selby Vandalia on Oct 22 at 7 30 pm at the Farber Baptist Church. The Rev Glenn Forman performed the double ring ceremony with a three quarter length veil and bouquet of yellow and bronze daisies. The couple plans to reside in Vandalia after a weekend trip to Hannibal and both hold nursing and MFA Exchange positions respectively.

Sturgeon United Methodist Church Women plan an annual bazaar and turkey dinner in the church dining room with bazaar items for sale from 2 p.m. and dinner at 5 p.m. Donations for the turkey dinner are 2.50 for adults and 1.50 for children, with proceeds benefiting local and mission church work. Pollard Couple Celebrates 57th Wedding Anniversary
Edwin and Mrs. Pollard observed their 57th anniversary with a Sunday reception at Stribling House in Mexico. Family from Sturgeon St. Louis and Paris attended, with 4-H Dinner Love and Charlene Isging reading scripture. The couple married October 28, 1919 near Mexico. Pollard retired as MFA insurance agent in 1975 after 29 years with the company.
