Wellsville Clubs Attend Fourth District Convention in Bowling Green
Wellsville federation members attended the 73rd Annual Convention of the Missouri Federation of Women's Clubs in Bowling Green on October 21 and 22. District President Mrs. Francis L. Johnson led the event with guests including MFSC President Mrs. Gary N. Cooper and MFWC Junior Director Mrs. John W. Popp Jr. A Thursday dinner at the community center featured pledges and a group collect, while Friday’s sessions were at the Christian Church with luncheons and a welcome by James Millan. Mrs. Cooper delivered the key address, urging clubwomen to support conservation, home life, family Living Week, and new SHARE project learning disabilities, among others. The district approved continued Delores Adams Music Scholarship funding and proposed travel aid for the Junior Director. Safety and community programs were emphasized, and L'Etude, Wellsville, earned a blue ribbon.
